M. Salimi Raven Sassan started his professional work as a photographer in Iran at the age of 17. He moved to Montreal in 1983 where he continued to work in the same field. In the following years, he expanded his work to videography and editing as well as technical direction in a variety of projects within North America . His love of new advancements in audiovisuals has made him one of the rare individuals capable of working with the cutting-edge technology in video production, visual imagery, web and graphic design as well as editing. Raven has also taken part in other artistic realms including acting in several plays such as the role of "Kaveh the blacksmith" in Hezar Asb “The Thousand-Horse” for the 1989 Montreal International Theater Festival. His creative mind does not stop there; he is one of the main forces behind the sketches in Hamrah. An avid enthusiast of Iran 's ancient history, he also writes articles that are posted on various websites in relation to this field.
